Eye-hand coordination

The following animations show the time course of the position of the hand-held needle and of the binocular point of gaze in the last part of the trial in a high-precision task (See Valsecchi and Gegenfurtner, 2015).

The needle position is marked in red, the gaze position is marked in blue, the microsaccade is marked in black. The scene is seen from above, so that positive z values correspond to locations away from the observer and positive x values correspond to locations to the right. The animations represents the last two seconds of the trial, the first video should play at the actual speed, the second video is largely slowed down.
